Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk (or any other unsweetened plant-based milk)
  • 1 ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger (or 1 tsp fresh ginger)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (helps absorb curcumin in turmeric)
  • pinch cinnamon (optional)
  • honey (to sweeten – optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, whisk together the plant-based milk, turmeric, ginger, and black pepper. Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking occasionally, until it simmers. Do not let it boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Remove from heat and stir in your sweetener of choice (if using) and any additional spices like cinnamon.
  • Strain the milk into a mug if you prefer a smoother texture (optional).

Notes

  • For a richer texture, you can use a full-fat coconut milk.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of turmeric and spices to your taste preference.
  • You can also add a pinch of cardamom or a dash of nutmeg for a more complex flavor profile.
  • For Detox, you can use hemp milk instead of a nut milk.
  • For Sensitive Gut, you can use hemp milk instead of a nut milk.
  • For Elimination, you can use hemp milk instead of a nut milk.
