
Pesto Sauce
This vibrant and flavorful pesto sauce is a versatile condiment that can elevate the taste of countless dishes. Made with fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic, and olive oil, this pesto offers a burst of herbaceous goodness with a touch of nutty sweetness. Enjoy it as a topping for pasta, a spread for sandwiches, or a marinade for grilled meats and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 cup basil leaves
- ½ cup pine nuts
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- sea salt & black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- In a food processor or blender, combine the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, and a small amount of olive oil. Pulse the ingredients until they form a smooth paste.
- Gradually add the remaining olive oil while the food processor or blender is running, until you reach your desired consistency.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
This dressing will keep for about a week stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
