Tahini Dressing
This homemade tahini is a versatile and nutritious condiment made from ground sesame seeds and is rich in healthy fats, protein, and antioxidants. Enjoy it as a dip, spread, or ingredient in various dishes for a delicious and nutritious addition to your meals.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Instructions
- Place the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat. Toast for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until fragrant and lightly browned. Be careful not to burn them.
- Transfer the toasted sesame seeds to a food processor or blender. Pulse until the seeds are finely ground and a smooth paste forms. This may take a few minutes.
- If the tahini is too thick, drizzle in a small amount of olive oil and pulse again until you reach the desired consistency.
Notes
Roasting the sesame seeds can enhance the flavor and add a nutty aroma to the tahini. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can skip the roasting step.
This dressing will keep for about a week stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
