Veggie Broth Millet
Veggie broth millet is a hearty and nutritious dish that offers a delicious way to incorporate whole grains and vegetables into your diet. Millet, a rich source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals, provides sustained energy, while the flavorful veggie broth adds essential nutrients and antioxidants.
Ingredients
- 1 cup millet
- 2 cups vegetable broth
- sea salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Rinse the millet well.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed millet, water, and salt. Place the saucepan over high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18-20 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5-10 minutes. This allows the millet to finish cooking and become fluffy.
- Fluff the millet with a fork and serve as desired.
