Banana Sorbet
A banana sorbet is a refreshing and healthy frozen dessert made with ripe bananas. This recipe adds a decadent twist with coconut milk, dark chocolate chips, vanilla bean paste, and cinnamon for a delightful flavor combination.
Ingredients
- 4 bananas (ripe)
- ½ cup coconut milk
- ¼ cup dark chocolate chips
- ¼ tsp vanilla bean paste
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Slice the bananas and freeze them until solid.
- Blend the frozen banana slices and all the other ingredients (except the chocolate chips) in a food processor until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the food processor to ensure everything is thoroughly mixed.
- Stir in the dark chocolate chips with a spoon.
- Transfer the ice cream to a container. Cover and freeze it for 2-3 hours for a firmer consistency.
- When you're ready to serve the ice cream, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly. This will make it easier to scoop.
Notes
It’s best to have chocolate and frozen treats only occasionally. Very cold foods slow down digestion.
